🛂 German migration policy 🪪

Germany, the most loyal in Europe, is the absolute leader of the EU in the number of residence permits issued for foreigners. More than a quarter of the country's population are people with a migration background. 

🆕 An example of changes that came into force in 2023-2024:

• For a Residence permit on basic of work it is no longer necessary to work in the specialty according to diploma.

• If you have a higher education, it is not necessary to prove your knowledge of German.

• Two years of work experience in IT – accepted as a substitute for higher education.

• Accelerated time frame for obtaining Permanent Residence – 3 years for a worker residence permit, 21 or 27 months for a Blue Card

• Reduced minimum salary for Blue Card (€3420.15 – in demand profession or €3775 – general order)

• Qualified specialists can invite parents to Germany 

• The period for obtaining  🇩🇪 citizenship is reduced - 5 years, if you speak German perfectly and demonstrate success in integration - 3 years. There is no need to give up your previous passport! 

There are 4 programs with obtaining a Residence Permit and further rights to German citizenship for foreign candidates who fall into one of the following categories:

• Freelancers and entrepreneurs with higher education and current income from customers of at least 5,250 euros per month.

• For companies that want to relocate with a team or open a European branch of their business in Germany and not to deal with registering a new company, taxes and the nuances of legalizing the team.

• Remote workers and Freelancers with an income in Germany or abroad with an income of 3,000 euros.

• IT specialists who can confirm their qualifications with 2-3 years of experience in their specialty.

• Candidates who have at least two years of vocational training or higher education + Availability of funds to ensure their life in Germany (12,700 euros are blocked for 1 year). An employment contract with a German employer (up to 20 hours per week) is also accepted as a guarantee.

• Candidates are highly qualified and from in-demand professions, having at least a 6-month work contract with an employer in Germany with a salary of at least 3,800 euros per month.
